University flag lowered in honour of two students and staff member

The university flag will be lowered from Sept. 11 to 14 in honour of two UVic students and a staff member.

UVic students Emma Machado and John Geerdes passed away on Sept. 13, 2019, as a result of a bus accident on the way to the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre while on a UVic biology field trip.

Janet Person, a long time staff member from the Faculty of Law, passed away on Sept. 23, 2019.
