Watch "Osmotic Power"

The world needs more energy, more clean energy.

"Osmotic power is the process of creating useful work from the mixing of two streams with different salinity. Although the phenomenon of osmosis has been known for a long time, the method of using it in a practical way for electricity generation is relatively new. At the University of Victoria, we are researching towards understanding this process of harnessing renewable energy. Our efforts are towards developing a more efficient way that can be reliable in today and tomorrow’s economy."
