Weaver elected AAAS Fellow

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has awarded the distinction of Fellow to Dr. Andrew Weaver (earth and ocean sciences) for distinguished contributions to our understanding of the role of ocean circulation in climate and for his commitment to educating the public about climate change. Weaver joins four other UVic faculty AAAS Fellows: Drs. Harvey Buckmaster (adjunct) and J. Anthony Burke (emeritus) in the Department of Physics and Astronomy; Dr. Wolff-Michael Roth, Lansdowne Professor in Applied Cognitive Science (curriculum and instruction); and Dr. Hari Srivastava (emeritus, mathematics).
