UVic Carrot Mob to hit Sauce Restaurant March 21

Peter B. Gustavson School of Business

Last year UVic’s Business Sustainability Club held its first Carrot Mob event at the Fernwood Inn raising $16,000 to help the historic neighbourhood pub become a more environmentally friendly business. This year, on Wednesday, March 21, they are targeting downtown Victoria’s inner harbour restaurant district by helping Sauce Restaurant and Lounge green its business. From 11:30 a.m. to closing at 1 a.m. all proceeds will go towards making their business more sustainable. In turn, Sauce will be offering all kinds of specials throughout the day in support of Carrot Mob. Harnessing the power of the consumer to affect change, the focal point of the all day event will begin at 5:00 at the restaurant, located 1245 Wharf Street in Victoria att the corner of Yates.
