Djilali, Scott appointed fellows

Ned Djilali (IESVic and mechanical engineering) and David Scott (IESVic, retired) have been appointed fellows of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, recognized for their distinguished achievements and career-long service to the engineering profession. Djilali has made outstanding contributions to the development of fuel cells and clean energy technology, the leadership of knowledge-based organizations, and the training of young engineers and researchers. Scott is an internationally recognized authority on energy systems and the founding director of IESVic. He is the former chair of the University of Toronto’s mechanical engineering department and founder of the Uof T’s Institute for Hydrogen Systems. In 2006 he received the prestigious Jules Verne award for outstanding contributions to the development of energy systems. More info
