5 Days of Action
- University of Victoria
Five Days of Action is an opportunity for our community to come together in our shared commitment to end discrimination, harassment, and sexualized violence. Things will look a little different this year with more social media and online content and less in-person content.
Organized around five “calls to action” that include listening, reflecting, dialogue, engagement, and solidarity, university members will be provided with a curated list of things to read, watch, attend, and commit to each day - all in an effort to end discrimination, harassment, and sexualized violence on campus.
Learn how you can participate or contact Natasha Goudar, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, to find more ways to get involved.
Virtual engagement
This year the 5 Days of Action will include a virtual engagement hosted by UVic’s new president, Dr. Kevin Hall.
Throughout 5 Days of Action (Nov. 16 – 20, 2020), Hall will ask questions through the virtual engagement platform to learn and understand what your experiences have been with equity and inclusion, discrimination, harassment and racism at the university.
I want to learn what is needed to help UVic fulfill its mission of being a place that supports everyone.
—President Kevin Hall
New questions will be released each day and you can always go back and answer previous days’ questions—so bookmark the link or keep returning to this site! Dr. Kevin Hall is very much looking forward to hearing from our campus community. We hope that you will participate and share throughout the week!
