UVic Child Care accepting applications

- UVic Child Care Services

UVic Child Care Services is accepting new applications for child care, with completion of major renovations to its facilities. Two new centres open on Nov. 5, 2018.  Salal Place and Juniper Place will accommodate 32 additional spaces for 3-to-5 year olds.

If you are a member of the university community with a child between the ages of 36 months and age 5, you are encouraged to submit a wait-list application now.

UVic anticipates that this expansion will not only provide much-needed child care for UVic students, staff and faculty, but will also significantly reduce wait times for preschool-aged children to join child-care programs.

If you have questions regarding the wait list or wish to learn more about the new centres, please contact

Child care is an important support for students, faculty and staff and UVic strives to meet that obligation along with the shifting needs of the university community.

In April 2016, UVic Child Care Services received approval and funding from the Board of Governors and university administration for a $1.7 million major renovation of the child-care facilities.
