Victoria best of west for green buildings

April 22, 2014 - Victoria is outstripping other Canadian cities in the west when it comes to regulations encouraging green buildings, according to a new report. While all cities in the report made progress, Victoria and Vancouver lead the way, in part, because the provincial government has set a high standard, the report says. UVic and the City of Victoria's solar partnership (assessing how much of the sun's energy lands on a rooftop) is cited as an example. Times Colonist
