Welcome.

Whether you're a new student, a visitor to campus, an alumnus or a current member of the campus community, the Welcome Centre is your first point of contact in navigating the University of Victoria.

Where to
find us

Located on the first floor of the University Centre, the Welcome Centre is open from 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. on Saturdays. Centre staff can ensure that you are directed to the right location, service or event on campus.

Course planning
and advising

An academic adviser for the Faculties of Humanities, Science and Social Sciences will be on hand in the Welcome Centre between May 14 and June 18 to assist new students with course selection and degree planning during the following times:

Tuesdays: 3:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. (last appointment at 5:30p.m.)
Wednesdays: 3:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. (last appointment at 6:30p.m.)
Saturdays: 11:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. (last appointment at 3:00p.m.)

Appointments with the adviser must be pre-booked by calling 250-721-7567, ext. 6 or emailing advising@uvic.ca (please be sure to include your student number). More information on academic advising for incoming students can be found on the Academic Advising Centre site.
