Some of the services offered by the university come with a fee. All fees are subject to change, so make sure you check before you request a service or fill out an application.

Undergraduate application

*Includes applicants applying to attend UVic as a visiting student on a "Letter of Permission". Applicants applying to attend UVic as a visiting student on a "Letter of Permission" are assessed the application fee based on the source of the "Letter or Permission."

These fees are non-refundable and will not be counted toward your tuition.

Paying the application fee

Application fees are non-refundable and cannot be applied to tuition fees. Fees are subject to change without notice.

Cheques should be made payable to the University of Victoria. Please do not submit cash.


The application fee is $50 (includes $10 for UVSS grad class fee) for degree programs and $40 for diploma and certificate programs.  If you are applying to graduate from a degree and diploma or certificate program in the same session, only a fee of $50 is assessed. 

An additional $10 late fee will be charged for applications received after December 15 for Spring graduation and July 1 for Fall graduation.

Graduation fees are due by the end of the month in which the application is submitted.  All graduation application fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Undergraduate students

A $18.50 reregistration fee is required with the reregistration application from all students (including Off Campus and Continuing Studies students)

Graduate students

Graduate re-registration fees differ from the undergraduate fee


A $35.75 late reregistration fee will be assessed for all applicants who submit after the following dates (except for Off-Campus and Continuing Studies students):

  • May 15 (for September courses)
  • October 31 (for January courses)

You will not be eligible until the reregistration fee is received.

Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express online only. If you do not wish to submit payment by credit card, please complete the PDF form and mail it in with a cheque or money order. You can also visit us in person to make your payment at the front counter of the Undergraduate Admissions and Records Office, located on the main floor of the University Centre. Please do not send cash in the mail.
