Engineering Expansion – Tree Removal

Engineering Expansion Project Site

Tree removal will take place on the site of the future Engineering and Computer Science Expansion (ECSE) and High Bay Research and Structures Lab (HBRSL) buildings. Trees were professionally assessed for removal due to constructability and safety concerns, or due to location within the footprint of the future Engineering buildings and works yard. The Engineering Expansion project is beginning construction in January 2024.

New trees will be planted, and the university is committed to protecting and managing the ecological diversity of the natural areas on campus.
