From concerts to lectures and more, the Farquhar Auditorium offers rental opportunities outside of University use. The venue rents as a professional performance space encompassing technical, ticketing and front of house support.
The auditorium's doors first opened on September 28th 1978 to the strains of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, performed by the UVic School of Music Orchestra and Chorus. Since then the stage has been graced by artists including Pat Benatar, Barenaked Ladies, comedian Martin Short, Chris Cornell and B.B. King among many more.
