And the classes he did take—philosophy, photo journalism—didn't lead to any specific path. Spring convocation marks the successful completion of academic studies for 3,641 students who will receive their degrees, diplomas and certificates throughout the week to the applause of family, friends and loved ones. The nine ceremonies include the awarding of six honorary degrees.
