On Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, the UVic flag will be lowered in memory of Garth Kempster, who passed away on Aug. 2. Garth was a UVic staff member in the Division of Continuing Studies. A Celebration of Life will be held at UVic's Interfaith Chapel on Aug. 18 at 1 pm.
The university flag will be lowered on Saturday, June 23 in memory of Corrina Ewan. Corinna was a UVic staff member with the Department of Chemistry.
