Nominations welcomed for Craigdarroch Research Awards

A new year means a fresh opportunity for faculty members to recognize the research and creative excellence of colleagues through one of five Craigdarroch Research Awards to be given this spring. “The Craigdarroch Research Awards recognize outstanding, diverse contributions across campus,” says Vice-President Research David Castle. “And I am pleased to announce that a new award, the Craigdarroch Award for Excellence in Research Partnerships, will acknowledge the increased importance of partnerships to our research mission. This award will honour the joint achievements of both a faculty researcher and an external partner.”

The five categories include: career achievement, research excellence, artistic expression, knowledge mobilization and research partnerships. Nominations are open until Feb. 5. Further information is available at uvic.ca/craigdarrochawards or contact Brad Buie at awardfac@uvic.ca.
