UVic Students Reach Out To Japan

The UVic Support Japan Committee is planning a family-friendly, fundraising event that shares Japanese culture and helps raise funds and hope for victims and those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. “Take Action for Japan” will be held Friday, April 15 from 3 to 8 p.m. in Vertigo in the Student Union Building.
There will be live performances, a raffle, Japanese food, Japanese activities (calligraphy and origami), video and photo presentations, and information (students from Fukushima will be speaking on the disaster).
All proceeds from the event will go to the Canadian Red Cross. For further information, email u.vicprayforjapan@gmail.com
