Harry Swain book prize finalist
Harry Swain’s (Centre for Global Studies) book Oka: A Political Crisis and its Legacy was among the five finalists for this year’s Donner Book Prize, awarded for excellence in writing about Canadian public policy. The Donner Canadian Foundation established the prize to recognize and reward the best public policy thinking, writing and research in Canada and the role it plays in determining the well-being of Canadians and the success of Canada as a whole. The Donner website describes Swain’s book as a “frank assessment of mistakes made and lessons learned, and offers readers unsettling insights into how government operates in times of crisis.”
