Local Luminary Turns Lecture Into Poetry

Award-winning poet and chair of the University of Victoria’s Department of Writing Lorna Crozier will read from her extensive collection of work, speak about her latest projects and comment on the process of writing itself at the university’s Distinguished Professors Lecture on Thursday, November 20.
        Crozier’s latest book, The Blue Hour of the Day: Selected Poems, was published last year and includes a stunning selection from 14 previous books published over the last three decades. Crozier will also read from a manuscript of new poetry as well as from an unpublished book of nonfiction slated for release in the fall of 2009.
