  1. EDS Advanced Solutions Inc. (www.edsadvancedsolutions.com) is a wholly-owned British Columbia subsidiary of EDS (Electronic Data Systems) . Last year it beat out several competitors to land a 10-year, $480 million deal with the B.C. government to perform billing, remittance and payment processing, and non-tax collection functions for several government programs.

(www.epicbiosonics.com) is a privately held neurotechnology company originally formed to develop the first totally implantable prosthetic device designed to restore the hearing of profoundly deaf individuals.   1. Geffen Gourmet Catering (www.vitp.ca/facilities/cafe.asp) operates the HardDrive Cafe located on the first floor of VITP. The cafe provides online ordering and on-site meal delivery for tenants.

  1. Genologics Life Sciences Software Inc. (www.genologics.com) is a UVic spin-off company that provides software solutions to the life sciences industry. The majority of its employees are UVic grads.

  1. Immuno-Precise Antibodies Ltd. (www.immuno-precise.com) provides antibodies, consultation services, and new immunodiagnostic assays for clinical researchers. The majority of its employees are UVic grads. The company also employs UVic co-op students.

  1. JASCO Research Ltd. (www.jasco.com) provides leading-edge acoustics consulting services to industry, government agencies, and the environmental community. The majority of the company’s Victoria-based employees, including its two principals, are UVic graduates.
