Food Bank Benefits From Parking Tickets

Campus security services is offering an incentive for settling unpaid UVic parking tickets before the end of the year. Between Dec. 1 and Dec. 23 anyone bringing an outstanding $20 UVic parking ticket to campus security services’ office will have the fine reduced by $5 if the ticket is accompanied by a can of food for the local food bank. Those with multiple tickets should note that a donation for each ticket is required to qualify for the discount. Last year campus security services donated three big boxes of canned goods to the food bank as a result of their parking ticket discount offer.
