Finding the Right U. for You
UVic business entrepreneurship students are making researching university choices as easy as pointing a mouse. Up until now, the only way for students to research a Canadian university was by reading course calendars, visiting Web sites or by reading university guides. Now, a student-led proposal by Three-C Media would see visual tours of universities being distributed to Canadian high school students using DVD technology. This proposal and 11 others will be presented to industry leaders during the Venture Capital Conference at UVic on July 29 and 30. “Pitching their ideas to local investors and receiving constructive feedback is a great way for students to experience, first-hand, the adrenaline rush associated with introducing their business plans to seasoned investors,” says business professor Dr. Boyd Cohen.
