CFUV Honoured for Recognizing Special Needs

UVic's campus/community radio station, CFUV-FM 102, has been honoured for its commitment to integrating special needs volunteers into day to day station operations. The station received a national Standard Radio Award for Excellence in campus and community broadcasting in the community involvement category. CFUV has a number of special needs volunteers working in many parts of the station including, but not limited to, on-air broadcasting. "We're excited about this award, says CFUV station manager Magnus Thyvold. CFUV has always been committed to working with differently-abled people in our community and this award is a nice bit of recognition for that." The award was presented at the National Campus and Community Radio Conference.
