Lower Mainland Hotels Vulnerable
The oversupply of hotel accommodations in
the Vancouver region and the timing of strike action at the height of
tourist season means that hotels on the Lower Mainland currently
behind picket lines are more than usually vulnerable, says the chair
of the Hotel Management Program at UVic's Faculty of Business William
Pattison. Pattison is a noted consultant to the hotel industry across
North America and was a founder and served as CEO of Delta Hotels for
more than 20 years.
