Immigration Pathway Information Session

In this session, international students will:

· learn about federal and BC provincial immigration pathways

· hear an up-to-date and detailed overview of the federal Express Entry system and how it works

· hear an update on BC provincial immigration priorities, including the new BC PNP Tech Pilot

· gain a practical understanding of the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) including how the points system relates to invitations to apply

· speak directly with staff from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Prior to this session, students are strongly encouraged to review:

· BC PNP’s Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC processes

· IRCC’s Express Entry immigration intake system

After reviewing information about IRCC's Express Entry system, students who are not already in the Express Entry pool are encouraged to try the self-assessment tool.
