UVic Students: Applying to the Master in Management (MM)

Admission Criteria
In addition to meeting the Faculty of Graduate Studies admission requirements, applicants who are in the process of completing their undergraduate degree at UVic must meet the following criteria:
- B (5.0) average in the last two years (30 units) of your non-business degree
- B (5.0) average across all 5 business pre-requisites, with a minimum grade of B- (4.0) in each course
- 2 academic references
- Resume outlining no more than 24 months of full-time post-graduation work experience
- Statement of purpose (written and video submission)
Preferred Access
Current UVic students may seek preferred access to the Master in Management program if:
- First year standing: you have been granted admission, or;
- Second year standing: you are in good academic standing with a minimum sessional GPA of 5.0, or;
- Third year standing: you are in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 5.0 on the most recent 27 units, and you have completed at least 2 of the 5 MM pre-requisite courses*, or;
- Fourth year standing: you are in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 5.0 on the most recent 42 units, and you have completed at least 4 of the 5 MM pre-requisite courses*
*MM applicants must have a minimum grade of B- (4.0) in each individual course, and an average of at least B (5.0) across all five pre-requisite courses.

- COM 220 - Organizational Behaviour
- COM 240 - Management Finance
- COM 250 - Fundamentals of Marketing
- COM 317 - Management Accounting 1
Applicants must achieve a minimum grade of B- (4.0) in each individual course, and an average of at least B (5.0) across all five pre-requisite courses.
Curent UVic students may want to complete a Business Minor, as it covers all of the above courses.
