Justin Karr Receives Prestigious Award

It is with great pleasure that I share this news for your news feeds, Facebook and websites. My graduate student Justin Karr, has received an award from a prestigious journal in our field, The Clinical Neuropsychologist, as part of their Second Annual TCN/AACN Student Project Competition. He recently published in TCN journal one of the pieces from his dissertation:

Karr, J., Garcia-Barrera, M., Holdnack, J., & Iverson, G. (2018). Advanced Clinical Interpretation of the Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System: Multivariate Base Rates of Low Scores. The Clinical Neuropsychologist, 32 (1), 42-53.

Justin’s paper was one of the three papers selected from among 13 eligible manuscripts that were rated by three reviewers comprised of AACN Student Affairs Committee members along six dimensions: (1) Timeliness and importance of the topic, (2) breadth and depth of the literature review, (3) statistical and methodological rigor and innovativeness, (4) articulation of clinical relevance and contribution to evidence-based practice, (5) clinical impact, and (6) responsiveness to reviewers.

The award comes with some cash and an invitation to present this research during the Student Series at the AACN 2018 Conference in San Diego, California.

Thanks,

M.
