CUPE 4163 (COMPONENT 3) SESSIONAL LECTURERS

 

Expressions of interest are invited for a sessional assignment for the following Winter Session 2018-19 courses.                      

January 07 – April 05, 2019

Biol370/ES320 Conservation Biology (3-0) (1.5units)             M,R 10:00-11:20am

Diversity of organisms, functioning of ecosystems, and the impact of human activities on these. Topics include the nature biological diversity; extinction and its cause; habitat alteration and fragmentation; effects of exotic species; economic and ethical considerations; practical and analytical tools; and legal frameworks for conserving species and habitats.

Prerequisites: Biol186-Physiology and Cell Biology; and Biol215-Ecology; and Biol230-Genetics; and Stat255-Statistics for Life Sciences

Anticipated enrollment: 108 students, maximum 110

 

Note:  All sessional positions are subject to meeting minimum enrollment requirements.

Salary is subject to the Cupe4163- Component 3 collective agreement and is based on years of lecturing experience at a post-secondary institution.
