Make sure that the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), used for diagnoses around the world, does not count Trans as a mental disorder! THE DEADLINE FOR COMMENTARY IS JUNE 1, 2017. Make your voice heard! The proposed new diagnosis is Gender Incongruence and it is proposed to go in a chapter called Conditions Related to Sexual Health. While not perfect, it is a big improvement on what's there now. To give your opinion you need to register with the World Health Organization (WHO). Click http://apps.who.int/classifications/icd11/browse/l-m/en to register and create a login profile. Then go the training videos to find out how to leave a comment in Chapter 6 in the section on Gender Incongruence. In addition to adding some words of your own, you might want to include the following two paragraphs: I urge the World Health Organization to remain fully committed to inclusion of a chapter on Conditions Related to Sexual Health in ICD-11 in the version to be presented for approval at the World Health Assembly. I also urge WHO member states to support the proposed chapter. I urge the World Health Organization to remain fully committed to locating the proposed diagnosis of Gender Incongruence of Adolescence and Adulthood within the chapter on Conditions Related to Sexual Health. I also urge member states to support the proposed placement. The deadline for the comment period is June 1, 2017. We, therefore, encourage you to share this widely with your networks and support the proposed chapter on Conditions Related to Sexual Health and placing the proposed diagnosis of Gender Incongruence of Adolescence and Adulthood within that chapter. Please take this action in support of transgender health before June 1, 2017. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Gail Knudson MD, MEd, FRCPC President, WPATH On behalf of the WPATH Board of Directors

Some folks at the University of Guelph thought that Lou Reed's song "Walk on the WIld Side" was transphobic so they apologized for playing it. Then they apologized for for calling it transphobic. What do you think?

Is Lou Reed's 'Walk on the Wild Side' ...
Critics noted that Reed's album was called Transformer. 'What do they think it's about?' The union deleted its Facebook apology and gave a followup statement
