Eric Eisenstein is an Associate Professor Emeritus in Medicine at Duke University where he has pursued research interests in the use of large clinical and economic databases to assess patient outcomes. Eric has served as principal investigator for phase II, III and IV economic and quality of life studies conducted alongside clinical trials in cardiovascular, emergency, and public health medicine, and vascular surgery. His work in economic analyses to evaluate clinical trial designs has supported the use of remote monitoring, patient engagement and registry-based clinical trials. Eric has a long-standing interest in the use of information technologies to improve clinical trial operations and reduce costs.
