Dr. Anila Virani is currently working as a UX/UI Postdoctoral Research fellow with the TrustSphere: An Integrated Secure Health Platform project that is led by the University of British Columbia in collaboration with Careteam Technologies, Secure Key, IDENTOS, Smile CDR, MedStack, BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and the University of Victoria. This project aims to empower Canadians through a trustworthy health platform that enables them to view, share and manage their own health data in a secure manner.
Anila has a strong background in healthcare including 24 years of national and international experience as a registered nurse, instructor and researcher. Her areas of research include health informatics, digital health, e-health, mhealth, health promotion, disease prevention, chronic disease management, mental health and psychosocial issues related to individuals and families.
