Sustainability Action Plan
The Sustainability Action Plan identified the goals and actions that would assist in implementing the University of Victoria Sustainability Policy in the area of campus operations.
Goals:
- Become carbon neutral by 2010.
- Reduce campus electricity consumption by 20% by 2015.
- Increase our renewable energy portfolio.
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20% over 2007 baseline by 2015.
- Quantify the risks to university resources and infrastructure associated with global climate change by 2015.
Integrated Energy Master Plan
This Integrated Energy Master Plan provides continuity for the future to identify key energy opportunities, plan and budget for conservation projects and to provide for sustainable energy usage monitoring.
The master plan aims to harmonize the university’s Strategic Plan, Campus Plan and Sustainability Action Plan to ensure its objectives are met.
