Three Cornered World - 2013-10-07
Visual Arts grad Anne Heeney presents her Three Cornered World, a collection of narrative paintings and abstracts. "Drawing will always be a substantial and universal pillar," says Heeney.
"Colour, however, is deeply personal. I believe the more abstract pictures demonstrate both convictions. The only way to get the point of art is to experience it raw, in galleries, in museums and
in studios—regularly." Runs daily to October 19 (closed Thanksgiving Monday).

Guest Presentation: Teaching the Cello in the 21st Century - 2013-10-07
Cellist
Paul Katzon
Teaching the Cello in the 21st Century: Looking at what hasn’t changed and what is new
Paul Katz, cellist with the Cleveland String Quartet for well over a quarter of a century, has taught at the Eastman School, Rice University, and now New England Conservatory. He has
developed in the past few years one of the most comprehensive on-line resources for the cello (
http://cellobello.com/) which includes archival footage of artists, blogs of many contemporary cellists, and hours of very informative lessons. Each week he
hosts a popular Cello Chat through this website. Come share in this marvelous opportunity to discuss with Paul and other teachers in the community the various aspects of teaching (specifically
cello, but which can be applied to many instruments) and ways in which we can utilize today’s technology to better enhance the support of musical artistry and pedagogy.

"Much Ado About Nothing" - 2013-10-07
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
Director: Joss Whedon USA, 2012, 110 min; PG
Cast: Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Reed Diamond, Fran Kranz, Clark Gregg, Jillian Morgese, Sean Maher, Nathan Fillion
Joss Whedon’s take on Shakespeare’s classic tale is swanky, sexy and sophisticated, as bracing as a dry martini. Whedon’s version was filmed in the director’s own house. Wisely, Whedon had cinematographer Jay Hunter film in a lush black-and-white that gives magic and timelessness to the modern dress and decor. -- Chicago Sun-Times The most enjoyable of all Shakespeare comedies on film!– New York Magazine
