Language and Literacies

M.Ed. in Language and Literacy Cohort (Current Trends & Issues in Language and Literacies) 

This program offers a unique mix of on-campus and online coursework affording opportunities for critical engagement in topics of relevance to today’s educators. Designed for classroom teachers and educators involved in Language and Literacies, this 15.0 unit Master of Education program will enrich educators’ practices and encourage the development of professional leaders within the diverse area of Language and Literacies education.  

M.A. & PhD

Research focused programs in Educational Studies in Language and Literacy are intended for those wishing to further their knowledge of pedagogical issues and practices relating to the teaching of Language and Literacy in elementary and secondary schools, and for those intending to pursue careers in educational research and teaching at the college or university level. Programs are designed to accommodate students' individual interests and objectives, and are undertaken with the guidance and direction of their academic supervisor. Students may specialize in a variety of areas and at levels from pre-school to adult.
