Computers in the libraries

There are 160 public computers at the Mearns Centre - McPherson Library and 46 laptops can be borrowed from the Ask Us Desk.

All library workstations are governed by our Computer Use Policy.

Assistive technology rooms

  • Equipment and software for students with print-based and learning disabilities
  • Priority for these workstations is given to students who require assistive technologies

Tips for using computer workstations:

  • Save your work regularly
  • Save your documents to a USB drive or to your UVic personal home file storage
  • Save emailed documents to the desktop before editing or printing
  • Log off when you are finished at a workstation
  • The libraries are not responsible for lost work or misprints
