References
As part of your application, we require a minimum of two academic referees who are familiar with your work. Your referees should be individuals who can provide a candid assessment of your abilities. The names and email addresses of your referees are required when you fill out your on-line application.
It is important that you contact your referees before providing their name in the on-line application, in order to confirm their willingness to provide you with an assessment. A letter of reference may also be supplied in addition to the Assessment Report. Please note that additional paper/hard-copy assessment documents are not required.
For more information on how to submit your Assessment Reports, please visit the UVic Graduate Admissions page and scroll down to the "Assessment Reports" section.
Statement of purpose
You must prepare and submit two statements of purpose:
- Compatibility (written submission)
The MM program is for those who aspire to change organizations for the better; who recognize the value of collaborative thinking and teamwork; and who crave real world, first-hand experiences to build their professional confidence.
Show us your understanding of the values and culture of Gustavson and the MM program. Tell us how they link to your personal and/or professional motivations.
-
- The format of this submission should be standard written format, with approximately 500-700 words in length.
- About yourself (video submission)
Tell us about yourself—give us an insight into who you are, what motivates you, and what contribution you will make to the MM program, and to your cohort. Showcase why you feel our program is a good fit for you and your goals.
-
- The format of this submission must be a video, must include you speaking, and should be approximately 3 minutes in length.
- You may submit your video by uploading it as an "unlisted" video to YouTube or another digital platform. Make sure to include the access link to your video as a pdf document in your application.
-
- Consider the following three things when composing your video:
- What inspires you about the future—where do you/how would you like to fit in that picture?
- Considering the above, how is the MM program going to help you get there?
- What nuances or non-traditional features stand out and/or appeal to you about the MM program?
