Building floods
While it is unlikely that the UVic campus will experience ground water flooding, building floods can and do occur. Water damage to property can be significant and poses risk to personal safety.
In the event of a flood
- Do NOT walk through floodwater — it could be electrically charged or contaminated.
- Call (250-721)-7599.
- If possible, shut off power to affected area.
- Move all hazardous materials and vulnerable equipment to above anticipated water line.
