Prof. Yang Shi has been awarded the IEEE Canada Outstanding Engineer Award

On Aug. 8, Prof. Yang Shi received the IEEE Canada Outstanding Engineer Award "for contribution to the theory and applications of networked and distributed control, model predictive control, autonomous intelligent mechatronics, and industrial cyber-physical systems."

Recipients of this medal are outstanding Canadian engineers recognized for their important contributions to Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Normally not available to candidates in telecommunications engineering, power engineering, computer engineering, or science. The award was established in 1994.
