Housing and dining

We know that without your support and guidance it would not be possible for your student to attend the University of Victoria. We want to do everything we can to make the transition to living and dining, on- or off-campus, easier for both of you. Handy moving hints, residence life orientation packages and access to important deadlines are just a few ways we try to meet your needs. You can also take comfort in knowing that when your student enters the University of Victoria directly from high school that they are guaranteed to have a bed in residence and meals provided for them during their first year.

In addition to offering a variety of housing options, we also provide a great selection of food in over 15 dining outlets on campus. To make things even easier, we offer dining cards to stretch the budget further and simplify the process of paying.

All first year students who come to UVic direct from high school and who submit a housing application and deposit are guaranteed a spot in residence.

Whenever we survey our students we find that they feel safe at UVic, and for good reason. We believe in ensuring you will feel supported and safe here, both inside and outside the classroom.
