Provides overall direction and leadership to the OHSE department and the university's health and safety programs.

Troy Hasanen, OHSE Consultant
UVic Radiation Safety Officer. Responsible for ionizing radiation and x-ray equipment; and laboratory safety including training and chemical inventory system. General research safety support for the departments of Physics & Astronomy, Biology and the school of Earth & Ocean Sciences.
Paraskevi Lagaditis, OHSE Consultant
UVic Laser Safety Officer. Responsible for class 3B and 4 lasers; and laboratory safety including WHMIS, fumehoods, and special chemical hazards. General research safety support for the department of Chemistry and faculty of Engineering & Computer Science.
Amanda Muench, OHSE Consultant
Responsible for field activities and off-campus programs, marine vessel safety, wilderness first aid; and environmental programs including pollution prevention, laboratory sustainability and regulatory reporting.
Graham Rhodes, OHSE Consultant
Hearing Conservation Officer. Responsible for occupational hygiene program, including indoor air quality, campus smoke-free program, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and shop safety.
Jason Serpa, OHSE Consultant
UVic Biosafety Officer. Responsible for biosafety, biosafety cabinet certifications and medical surveillance. General research safety support for the department of Biochemistry & Microbiology and Island Medical Program.
