Accessibility
Visiting the gallery: The main entrance to Legacy is at street level and there are no steps or gaps to enter the main gallery, inner gallery or washrooms. The main entrance has two sets of heavy doors with push buttons. There are additional doors without push buttons to the inner gallery. There is ample space to maneuver a mobility device without any sharp turns.
Washrooms: Legacy has two single-stall, gender inclusive washrooms. Both of these washrooms have manual doors and only one provides ample space for mobility devices. The bathrooms are equipped with support bars but the depth of the sink and door handle style may be challenging for some patrons. The larger bathroom is equipped with a baby changing station.
Classroom and office space: The classroom space and private offices are located on the second floor of Legacy. These can only be accessed by a flight of stairs.

Getting here
Parking: There is metered street parking around Legacy Downtown. The Bastion Square parkade is the closest municipal parkade and is located approximately two blocks away on Yates Street. Find out more about parking downtown.

Biking: Located in downtown Victoria, Legacy is a bike-friendly destination! We are two blocks away from the Pandora bike lane – turn left on Broad Street to Yates. There are three bicycle parking spaces directly outside of Legacy and covered bike parking one block away on the corner of Douglas and Yates.
Public transit: Legacy is in close proximity to a number of bus routes which stop near Douglas and Yates. The #15 route stops mere steps from the Legacy on Yates between Douglas and Broad streets.
The Legacy Maltwood is the University of Victoria's gallery space on campus.

Visiting the gallery: Legacy Maltwood is located on the bottom level of the McPherson Library and can be accessed by stairs or elevator. There are no additional doors to enter the gallery; however, the layout of the space may be difficult for some mobility devices to navigate.
