- Let's Talk About Teaching - join us for two days of conversations, networking and sessions around teaching at UVic.
- Faculty Institute of Teaching - this two part program taken over two terms provides the opportunity to enhance your teaching to support student learning.
- Instructional Skills Workshop - this small group workshop is designed to enhance the teaching effectiveness of both new and experienced educators.
- Learning technology workshops - learn quick and practical strategies to help you start online teaching and how to use UVic learning technologies.
- Teaching assistant workshops - these workshops can be taken separately, or combined to form TA certificates.
- Join our online learning & teaching community - connect with other faculty and instructors from cross the university. You must sign up for you UVic Office 365 account. Once you have done so, send us a request to join the community!

To help faculty and instructors achieve even greater success, we offer:
- Learning and teaching development grants and strategic initiatives grants
- Learning and teaching development funds, including the Teaching–Stream Faculty, Continuing Sessional Lecturer, and the Term Sessional Lecturer
- Support when applying for different awards, including UVic teaching awards, such as Faculty Teaching Excellence Awards, and the 3M Teaching Fellowship. Support that can be provided includes help with writing your teaching philosophy/narrative statement, structure of teaching dossier, and the UVic internal process of evaluation.
Anti-racism grants for faculty, instructors and staff
UVic’s Anti-Racism Initiative Grant supports the revision of programs, courses, curriculum or learning resources in ways that help fulfill our commitment to the values of equity, diversity and inclusion.
