Reconciliation blog runner-up for Clawbie

On December 31, the Reconciliation Syllabus blog was named a runner-up in the Change and Advocacy category of the “Clawbies” – the awards for the best Canadian Law Blogs.

The Reconciliation Syllabus was founded in June 2015 by UVic Law professor Rebecca Johnson, Associate Dean Gillian Calder and Vancouver lawyer Elin Sigurdson. Its purpose is to create a collaborative space for professors, lawyers and students from across the country “to gather together ideas about resources and pedagogies to support recommendation #28 of the TRC Calls to Action” – another example of this Faculty’s engagement with Indigenous laws and the TRC’s recommendations.

Well done Professors Johnson and Calder!
