Darcy Lindberg returns as faculty member

Darcy LindbergWe are delighted to welcome Darcy Lindberg (back) to the faculty of Law. Darcy completed his Ph.D at UVic and has been teaching at the University of Alberta for the past few years. Darcy is mixed-rooted Plains Cree, and has taught courses at the University of Alberta on constitutional law, Indigenous legal traditions, treaties, and Indigenous environmental legal orders.

“I am very excited to be rejoining the faculty and coming back to the Uvic law community as a faculty member.  I am especially grateful to be returning and working with the joint degree program – it is a special time in its growth and am looking forward to adding my energies to the work that everyone else is doing.  And in a selfish way, I am loving the opportunity to return and continue to learn from everyone there.”

Darcy was called to the British Columbia and Yukon bars in 2014, and practiced in the Yukon Territory with Davis LLP.  He will be teaching field schools in the JD/JID program.
