Annalee Lepp honoured with President's Extraordinary Service Award

The President’s Extraordinary Service Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of people, whether teams or individuals, from all across campus. Dr. Annalee Lepp of Gender Studies will receive The Collaborator award for her work as Chair of UVic's Working Group on Sexualized Violence Programs and Policy. After 11 months of work and over 100 interviews with stakeholders, UVic's Sexualized Violence and Response Policy was approved by the Board of Governors on March 28, 2017. http://www.uvic.ca/home/about/campus-news/ring/2017+sexualized-violence-policy-board-approved+ring

"While UVic previously had policies and programs related to sexualized violence, the Sexualized Violence Prevention and Response Policy provides improved and more transparent information, supports and processes. The policy covers prevention and training programs; resources and support for survivors and those impacted by sexualized violence; and responses to disclosures and reports of sexualized violence, including a fair and impartial investigation and adjudication process."

Congratulations and thank you, Annalee!
