Dr. Loren Gaudet Receives Faculty of Humanities Research Fellowship

The Academic and Technical Writing Program (ATWP) is pleased to share that Dr. Loren Gaudet has received the Faculty of Humanities Research Fellowship in support of her book project, The Making of Canadian Lyme Disease: Expertise, Uncertainty, and the Rise of the Constituent Patient, which is currently under contract with University of Toronto Press.

The Faculty of Humanities Research Fellowship will provide Dr. Gaudet with dedicated time to complete revisions on her manuscript. The Making of Canadian Lyme Disease examines how Lyme disease has been defined, debated, and understood in Canada over the past three decades. This research fills a significant gap in scholarship and represents the first book-length academic study of Lyme disease in Canada.

This award recognizes the project’s strong contribution to interdisciplinary health research and supports its timely completion for publication. The ATWP congratulates Dr. Gaudet on this achievement and looks forward to the continued impact of her work!
