This hands-on workshop will look at the way fair and equitable hiring practices are best practices for hiring and explore the interconnectedness of merit and equity.  We will address minimizing the effect of biases, stereotypes and assumptions and explore equity considerations at various stages in the hiring process.  There will be opportunities to practice specific skills.  If time permits the processes for preferential and limited hiring will be reviewed.
