Interior design

• It's our goal to continually improve the interior spaces on campus.  We look for solutions that are flexible, sustainable, cost effective and beautiful for years to come.  Staff, faculty and students' ability to work, teach and learn are top of mind for our team.

New furniture requests

• Looking for new furniture?  Issue a FMIS request and we'll help you with planning and selection.  We have supply agreements in place for high quality commercial products that align with UVic's sustainability action plan and will arrange purchase and installation for you.

Interior Project Estimating

• We provide designs, plans and estimates for your approval before any purchase.  We work with your existing furniture to reduce the cost to reconfigure space.

• Send a FMIS request to remove unwanted used furniture.  We'll make sure it finds a new home or is sold or recycled in a sustainable manner.

• Let us help you plan your next lab renovation.,  Projects and Interiors staff have transformed several labs on campus providing flexibility using mobile casegoods, integrated services and adjustable work surfaces.

• The way we learn is evolving.  Students want more flexibility, faculty want more engagement, the university wants a positive learning experience and the ability to maximize their classroom assets and IT/AV is driving classroom change.  The interiors team can help evaluate your needs and recommend solutions that work.

Interior Signage - Wayfinding

• Our new standards cover general wayfinding, safety and notices and temporary building signage.  View our new design guidelines and/or visit Cornett to see UVic's new interior signage in person.

Security Safe and Key Cabinet requests

• The university has developed guidelines and procedures to procure and install security safes and key cabinets.  We'll work with Campus Security to identify the right product and installation location, arrange procurement and install in accordance with strict guidelines and manufacturer's specifications.
