Petch Fire-Suppression, Building Automation and Cooling Distribution Work

Petch Building (all rooms and corridors)

As part of the Science Buildings Renewals, contractors will move systematically through Petch to install fire-suppression piping. Building automation and cooling distribution lines will be installed in selected rooms.

Work will start on Monday, June 26, 2017 within rooms and on Monday, July 3, 2017 within corridors. Work within each room will be performed in the evenings and is expected to last about five days. Due to the total number of rooms involved, the work is expected to take 13 months (to approximately July 30, 2018).

Work will proceed from the second floor to the lower floor and will progress clockwise from the main stairwell. On the main floor, work will occur within the west section before moving to the east section (refer to attached images).
