Tentative collective agreement reached with faculty association

Representatives of the University of Victoria and UVic Faculty Association have reached a tentative collective agreement, including a salary and benefit settlement, with the assistance of mediator Trevor Sones.
This is the first agreement since the faculty members and librarians certified as a union and it extends to June 30, 2019. It is subject to ratification by faculty association members and approval by the university’s Board of Governors over the next several weeks.
The agreement was negotiated within the BC government’s Economic Stability Mandate and guidelines approved by the Compensation and Review Committee on behalf of the Board of Governors.
