Buoy launch

Great news from us here in the WCWI offices - we have all three buoys safely deployed and they constantly sending us valuable data ! As a quick breakdown, we have:

1)    Beverly: A Watchmate 500 directional wave buoy – deployed out on Amphitrite Bank in 40m of water.
2)    Campbell: A TRIAXYS directional wave buoy – deployed in just 25m of water and 600m from the beach.
3)    Tarbotton:  Another Watchmate 500 directional wave buoy – deployed up at Estevan Piont in 40m of water.

The Beverly and Campbell deployments went extremely smoothly due to some good clear weather. However, the Tarbotton buoy is located in the highly active Estevan Pt location and required numerous 6 – 8 hour boat trips out to the deployment location before we got conditions suitable to deploy the buoy and not risk life and limb. Great location to study waves yet, as a result, alos a difficult place to deploy a buoy !
